I have been designing and building with Lego for as long as I can remember. I started out with official sets, but my love for Star Wars and the Lego Company's inability to keep up with every new vehicle or starship caused me to develop a strong desire to design my own sets. I quickly found Lego Digital Designer, a Lego specific CAD software, allowing me to virtually realize my ideas (Lego is expensive!). But over time I was able to save up and bring a few of these designs to life. The existence of physics outside the CAD software often meant I had to modify the designs for strength and stability. Luckily, it is easy to determine what piece combinations will and won't work by trying out different designs in the real world.
